These terms govern your use of the Mindex desktop application and related services. By signing in and using Mindex, you agree to them.
Mindex is a desktop app that helps you write and organize notes and work with an AI copilot over a local Markdown vault. Some features require an internet connection and a signed-in Google account.
You must sign in with a Google account to use Mindex. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or revoke access for abuse, security reasons, or violation of these terms.
You own your notes. They are stored locally on your device; we do not claim any rights to them. When you invoke AI features, your content is processed by third-party AI providers (e.g. Anthropic) to produce the output you requested.
Mindex may require you to install updates to continue using the app, including for security or compatibility. The app checks for a minimum required version at launch.
Mindex relies on third parties including Google (sign-in, Calendar), Supabase (authentication and account data), and Anthropic (AI). Your use of those features is also subject to their respective terms.
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of Mindex. AI output may be inaccurate — review it before relying on it.
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
